It’s not ‘you’, it’s ‘me’

The classic break-up line, the one that is meant to take away the hurt and shoulder the blame, when actually all along you are thinking ‘it’s not me, it’s you!’

And when it comes to your working life, do you secretly think that others are to blame? How often have you thought ‘these people just aren’t getting the message’ leaving you wondering if they will ever step up?

Well, I have some good news and some bad news.

The bad news is it does start with YOU!

Every minute of every day you are being scrutinized. What you say and what you do is being absorbed, consciously or unconsciously. What you say can be completely misunderstood. And what you do has to match what you say – all the time!! Otherwise people unconsciously consider you a fraud.

And that is just for starters. You may consider yourself to be engaging or you may think you have a collaborate style, but without knowing it you could be pushing them further away. You won’t even know you have, people are very clever at hiding it (again whether they realise it or not).

But there is some good news. There is something you can do about it!

You can become more inspirational by developing your own vision that is so important to you that your every word and deed will demonstrate your commitment.

You can understand yourself better and address those hidden barriers that stop you from reaching your vision.

You can learn how to engage others in a way that motivates and inspires them reach their own vision that is aligned with yours, overcoming the inevitable resistence we all experience even when we know the goal is worthy.

You can learn how to help people to step up to do things they never would have dreamed of to reach their vision of success.

The answer is simple - develop a coaching style of leadership. So please check out our transformational leadership programme coming up real soon!

Transform yourself and transform others AND your organisation!

Best,
