Brian Johnston
Operations Manager
Brian is an experienced business manager, business change leader and operations manager with over 30 years’ experience in BT. His early career was in IT where he joined the Belfast-based software engineering centre. He then headed up billing and order fulfilment business units, leading teams in UK and India, delivering large scale software deliveries in billing and broadband.
His career took a turn when he switched from purely delivering technology to delivering business change solutions to the voluntary and education sectors. At the National Trust he worked with the senior management team to deliver a highly effective programme to rationalise the processes for recruiting Volunteers. In local education he has delivered cost savings and learning policies through innovative use of technology.
Brian has degrees in Electronic Communications and Information Communications Technology. He is a passionate believer in lifelong learning and the use of technology to deliver learning. He is an advocate of on-line learning and has been recruited to the team to support the new on-line learning initiatives.
